What: BACKSTAGE Performing Arts Center’s 2026 Recital “It’s Time”
When: Sunday, May 17, 2026 TIMES: Show 1 - 2 PM Show 2 - 5pm
Where: El Camino High School Center for the Arts - 2340 Eastern Ave, Sacramento, CA 95864
Who: All of our dancers will be performing a routine from their class to showcase the talents they have learned over the season.
New Information: Mandatory Dress Rehearsal
There will be a mandatory dress rehearsal on
Friday, May 15, 2026. Please mark your calendars and hold the time from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Investment:
There will be a costume fee of $75 per child performing in our recital. Each dancer will get to keep their costume from their classes. If you are in 2 classes, this will be $140. If you're in 3 classes, this is will $200. Costumes will be handed out prior to our performance and it will be the responsibility of each family to bring them to the performance. This costume fee will be due on January 15, 2026. This will also include a digital video of the performance(s)!

- 10:15 AM: "Golden" Ballet/Jazz (Mondays at 5:30 PM)
- 10:30 AM: "Pink Pony Club" Caregiver and Me (Tuesdays at 10 AM)
- 10:45 AM: "Soda Pop" Creative Movement (Thursdays at 4 PM)
- 11:00 AM: "My Shot" Musical Theater (Wednesdays at 4:35 PM)
- 11:15 AM: Break (15 minutes)
- 11:30 AM: "Supa Good Jazz/Hip Hop (Tuesdays at 5:30 PM)
- 11:45 AM: "Soy Yo" Hip Hop (Wednesdays at 5:30 PM)
- 12:00 PM: "Better When I'm Dancing" Ballet/Jazz (Tuesdays at 3:50 PM)
- 12:15 PM: "Best Day" Ballet/Jazz (Mondays at 4:35 PM)
- 12:30 PM: "Be Anything" Pre-Ballet (Mondays at 3:45 PM)
- 12:45 PM: "Shooting Stars" Jazz/Hip Hop (Tuesdays at 4:40 PM)
Arrival Details:
- On Time is Key: Please arrive promptly for your class photo as we'll be moving swiftly to stay on schedule. This photographer moves quickly and on time!
- Costume Ready: Make sure your child is dressed in their costume (you'll be receiving your costumes the week before). Dancers are welcome to change shoes inside the dance room.
- Hair and Makeup: Please ensure that hair and makeup are done before arrival. Check your class details for specific hair styling instructions.
- Multi-Class Dancers: If your child is in two/three classes, please bring their other costumes and shoes to change into. They will not need their quick change leotards for these photos; all changes can be made in the restroom. If your dancer has a longer break, you're welcome to leave and come back.
- Sibling or Class Buddy Photos are also available for purchase if you'd like to plan for that. Just give me a heads up.
Tickets:
Tickets are on sale now for our performance and will be a flat fee of $18. Tickets will be on a first-come, first-served basis. General Seating for the 2pm and 5pm show!
